Course Objectives The objective of this course is to provide essential knowledge of flat pattern making, sewing techniques and computer aided pattern making.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • wiil be able to construct upper body (bodice, jackets, etc.) and lower body (pants, skirts) garment patterns
  • will be able to create design variations
  • will be able to practice hands-on skills with sewing techniques
  • will be able to develop patterns and garments based on industrial requirements
  • will be able to use basic tools in a computer aided design system and virtual fit
Course Description Students improve their skills of sewing and pattern making in order to develop their creativity in fashion design. Students learn various sewing techniques and methods of creating a pattern for their designs by using flat pattern techniques and computer aided tools.
